This year the POSTCARD project consists of two components-the Whats Up? blog and our teen filmmaker showcase, Docs on the Block: Our Reel Life in Long Beach.This years showcase will bring together filmmaking groups within Long Beach to celebrate their common ground as filmmakers and residents of Long Beach. Our participating youth include students from Long Beach Community Action Partnership’s Leadership Academy Mentoring Program and the Long Beach YMCA Youth Institute. These filmmakers will be producing short documentaries about their communities to be screened for the public April 14, 2012 at The Art Theatre in Long Beach.
